Caernarfon Town FC's plans to upgrade and rebuild the pitch at its Oval stadium have been given the green light after securing approval from Gwynedd Council's planning committee. The Cymru Premier side wants to level and replant the original turf to ensure adequate drainage. This will be achieved with layers of different materials such as sand and gravel. Manhole drainage pipes as well as a retaining wall will be included in the drainage works. Installed around the new pitch will be a fence of lightweight railings. The club's efforts to improve the stadium will provide a better playing surface for the team. Caernarfon Town's manager will be pleased with the approval, as it will enhance the team's performance. The reconstruction of the pitch is expected to start soon. And with the new drainage system, the pitch will be able to withstand heavy rainfall. The club's fans will also benefit from the upgrade, as it will provide a better viewing experience. So, the future looks bright for Caernarfon Town, with the stadium upgrade being a major boost for the team.
