Caernarfon Town is launching a £50k appeal to build a 600-seat stand at The Oval, named in honour of former player Wyn Davies. The new stand will mark a significant milestone in the club's continued growth and success. Lord Dafydd Wigley, a longstanding and passionate supporter of Caernarfon Town, is championing the campaign. Wyn Davies, who made over 550 appearances in the Football League and earned 34 caps for Wales, passed away last year aged 83. The club is seeking to raise £50,000 to help fund the construction of the stand, which will increase capacity and enhance facilities for supporters. The project forms part of a wider programme of investment at the club, reflecting its growing ambition and recent successes. The club is also offering personalised plaques to be placed on seats in the new stand and along 'Wyn's Wall'. Seat plaques are priced at £50 per seat, whilst Wyn's Wall plaques are priced at £100 each. The new stand will serve as a lasting tribute to Wyn's legacy and a reminder to young players of what can be achieved with talent, determination, and a deep love for the game. The club is on an exciting journey, and this investment will ensure more supporters can be part of that journey. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help create something truly special for the town and for future generations of Canaries supporters. The appeal has been launched alongside Caernarfon Town FC Chairman Paul Evans, who is urging everyone who cares about the club to play their part in bringing the stand to life. Wyn Davies' family has also voiced their support for the appeal, stating that having the new stand named after Wyn would be a great honour. The construction of the new stand will not only celebrate the club's past but also secure its future, enabling the team to play in Europe and increasing capacity for supporters at The Oval.
