Connor Evans joins Bangor City 1876 as seventh summer signing
Connor Evans, a 22-year-old Wales Under-18 striker, has become Bangor City 1876's seventh new signing of the summer. He joins the Cymru North club after previously playing for Caernarfon Town and Bala Town. Next fixture: vs Airbus UK (away, 2026-10-30) (2nd in the table).
Evans joins Bangor City Stadium this summer, following in the footsteps of John Danby, Haci Ozlu, Jack Burman, Max Purvis, Guto Williams, and Blaine Hudson. The striker has previously played for Crewe Alexandra and Chester, and featured in the Cymru Premier for Caernarfon Town and Bala Town last season.
Evans made his debut for Crewe Alexandra in 2022, aged 18, and went on to make five substitute appearances in league matches before the end of the season. He later joined Marine on a one-month loan, which was later extended, and then switched to Nantwich Town on loan until the end of the season. Evans also had loan spells with Chester and Waterford, before joining Southport on a short-term contract in January 2025. He put pen to paper for Caernarfon Town in June 2025, and netted on his debut for the Cofis after coming on as a late substitute in a 3-0 Nathaniel MG Cup win over Colwyn Bay on August 1, 2025.
Evans had made 23 appearances for Caernarfon’s first team, bagging four goals, before joining Bala Town in February 2026, spending the rest of the campaign on loan with the relegated Lakesiders. Caernarfon announced today that Evans had left the club.
The Wales Under-18s player played for the team in March 2021 against England.
