Caernarfon Town's four-match unbeaten run in the Cymru Premier came to an end with a 1-0 defeat at home to Barry Town on Saturday. A tenth-minute goal from N. Daley proved decisive, despite the visitors playing the final stages with ten men.

The result leaves Caernarfon fifth in the league standings with 23 points from 12 games, now 11 points adrift of leaders The New Saints. The Canaries had been in solid form, with their last five results reading LDWDW, but they could not find a way past Barry's defence.

Daley's early strike put the hosts on the back foot. Caernarfon made a double change just after the hour, sending on H. Charsley and O. Zanzala, but clear chances remained scarce. Barry's O. Cuddihy was shown a second yellow card in the 82nd minute, reducing his side to ten men, but Caernarfon could not capitalise on the numerical advantage in the closing minutes.

Managerial reaction from the home camp was not available post-match. The focus now shifts to an away trip to face Airbus UK on 30 October. This defeat halts momentum, but with 35 goals scored this season, the second-highest tally in the division, the attacking threat remains.
